Some Internet providers and VPN services include built-in security or filtering functions that automatically block certain websites, connections, or types of traffic. While these tools are intended to enhance online safety, they can also interfere with legitimate services. In particular, they may incorrectly block downloads from Premiumize.me.

Internet Service Providers
AT&T (ActiveArmor)
- Open the Smart Home Manager app
- Tap the chat bubble, type Disable ActiveArmor and confirm the prompt
- Check in the app or router gateway to ensure that Home Network Security = Disabled
- Note: If you are using ActiveArmor Advanced (paid version), first cancel your subscription in the app

Bell Canada
- Open the Bell Wi-Fi app and go to Connected devices → Disable restrictions
- Alternatively access your Home Hub (192.168.2.1), log in and go to Access Control → Delete schedules / Unblock devices
- Note: If McAfee Security from Bell is active, disable via the app (Parental Controls → Turn Off)
Eastlink
- Open the eero app and go to Discover → Security & Privacy
- Toggle Advanced Security / Ad Blocking to off
- In Profiles: remove content filters or delete profiles
Flow
- Open the My Flow app or web portal and go to Internet Settings → Web Filtering / Family Filter
- Toggle Off or Opt Out
- Restart your router
Primus
- Open the TP-Link Deco app and go to HomeShield → Parental Controls
- Remove or disable all active profiles
- Confirm Network Security features (ad blocking, safe search) are toggled off
Rogers
- Open the Rogers Ignite WiFi Hub app or online portal and go to Parental Controls / Ignite WiFi → Profiles
- Remove or disable filters/schedules
Spectrum
- Open the My Spectrum app and go to Services → Internet → Security Shield → View All → Security Shield Settings
- In Advanced Settings, toggle Security Shield OFF
- If hidden, scroll past the chat icon in the app
- Reboot your router for changes to take effect
Starlink
- Open the Starlink app and go to Settings → Router → Content Filtering
- Select No Filtering (instead of Malware or Malware+Adult)
- Save and restart your router
Verizon Fios
- Open the My Fios app and go to Internet → Network Settings → Home Network Protection / Parental Controls → Off
- Alternatively access your router dashboard (myfiosgateway.com or 192.168.1.1), log in and go to Parental Controls/Advanced Security → Disable
- Note: If McAfee-powered HNP is active, disable via the app
Virgin Media
- Open My Virgin Media and go to Account Settings → Online Security → Web Safe
- Toggle both Child Safe and Virus Safe to Off
- Restart your hub to apply
- If it re-enables itself, contact support or bypass with a custom DNS
Xfinity (Comcast)
- Open the Xfinity app and go to Security → Advanced Security → Turn Off
- Alternatively open the website, log in and go to My Services → xFi Advanced Security → Disable
- If there is no toggle, simply ask Xfinity customer support to manually disable enhanced security
VPN Services
Award VPN
- Open the Award VPN app and go to Settings
- Toggle Web Filtering / Security Filter to Off
- Reconnect the VPN connection
ExpressVPN
- Open the ExpressVPN app and go to Settings / Preferences → Privacy & Security
- Toggle Threat Manager and any Ad/Tracker Blockers to Off
- Reconnect the VPN connection
IPVanish
- Open the IPVasnish desktop app and go to Preferences → Threat Protection → Off
- For mobile devices or TV boxes open the app and go to Settings → Advanced Protection → Threat Protection → Off
- If you are using NordVPN on Linux CLI enter ipvanish set threat_protection off
- Reconnect the VPN connection
NordVPN
- Open the NordVPN desktop app and go to Settings → Threat Protection → Turn Off all filters
- For mobile devices open the app and go to Settings → Threat Protection Lite → Off
- If you are using NordVPN on Linux CLI enter nordvpn set threatprotectionlite off
- Reconnect the VPN connection
PIA VPN (Private Internet Access)
- Open the PIA app and go to Settings → Privacy
- Toggle MACE (ad/malware filter) to Off
- If you are using NordVPN on Linux CLI enter nordvpn set threatprotectionlite off
- Reconnect the VPN connection
ProtonVPN
- Open the ProtonVPN app and go to Settings → NetShield → Off
- Reconnect the VPN connection
PureVPN
- Open the PureVPN app and go to Settings
- Toggle Web Filter / App Blocker → Off
- Save and reconnect the VPN connection
Surfshark
- Open the Surfshark app and go to Settings → VPN Settings / Features → CleanWeb → Off
- Reconnect the VPN connection

Vanish VPN
- Open the Vanish VPN app and go to Settings → Content Filter / Ad Blocker → Off
- Reconnect the VPN connection
Routers
Asus
- Access your router dashboard (router.asus.com) and go to AiProtection → Parental Controls
- Turn filters to Off and disable any Web & Apps Filters
Linksys
- Open the Linksys app and go to Menu → Parental Controls → Disable for each device
- Alternatively open the router dashboard (linksyssmartwifi.com), log in and go to Parental Controls → Off
Netgear (Orbi/Nighthawk)
- Open the Nighthawk app and go to Security
- Toggle Netgear Armor (Bitdefender) to Off
- If Circle Parental Controls is active, disable it
- Alternatively open the router dashboard (192.168.1.1), log in and go to Advanced → Security → Parental Controls / Access Control → Disable
TP-Link (Deco 6E / Archer)
- Open the TP-Link Deco or Tether app and go to HomeShield → Parental Controls
- Disable or delete available profiles
- Go to Network Security and turn Real-Time Protection, Intrusion Prevention, Ad Blockers off
Wavlink
- Open the router dashboard (192.168.10.1 or wavlogin.link) and go to Advanced → Parental Control → URL Filter
- Remove all filters or disable the feature
- Save and restart your router
